Hudson County Open Space and Recreation Plan

The Hudson County Open Space and Recreation Plan focused on acquisition opportunities for expansion of existing resources and opportunities for new County facilities.  The plan also focused on river walkway development, facilities improvements, critical resource areas, scenic resource areas, and historic preservation.  The plan relied on GIS mapping and analysis to identify existing Environmental Resource areas for inclusion in possible acquisitions and examined Brownfields for possible conversion to Greenfields. The Plan defined community connections in two ways; physical network links of open space and recreation areas and non-physical aspects of community involvement including educational programming.
